Plans for a brand-new pole dancing and fitness centre have been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

The applicant, Mr David Brookes, wants to convert a vacant unit on Garfield Works, Uttoxeter Road, into a pole dancing, fitness and aerial skills centre.

The unit is currently vacant but was formerly used for the production of shower enclosures and shower trays.

There is space for ten cars at the site and according to a planning statement, there would generally be four or five staff members on shift every day.

If approved, the brand-new centre would be open seven days a week (Nub News).

If approved, the brand-new centre would be open seven days a week, 9am-10pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The only comment submitted so far is from Staffordshire Police, who said: "The unit will benefit from good natural surveillance from Uttoxeter Road.

"Due to the topography, approach to the premises by anyone will be generally limited to the area close to the pedestrian and roller shutter entrances."

A decision is expected regarding these plans in the coming months.
