New takeaway plans for Stoke-on-Trent trade park

A new restaurant and takeaway could open on a Stoke-on-Trent business park if plans are given the green light by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
Pattys Tunstall Limited is seeking permission to change the use of a unit at Tunstall Trade Park, off Brownhills Road, and install an extraction unit.
If approved, the new restaurant and takeaway would employ four full time and six part time members of staff, the planning application form stated.
The opening hours would be 8am to 11pm each day.
A design, access and planning statement submitted as part of the application to Stoke-on-Trent City Council said: "The intended use will be aimed for local businesses and employees that are within the trade park, due to there being no other food offering within the vicinity.
"The business will offer breakfast, coffee, lunch and desserts that will be served for eat in or takeaway basis.
"The client aims to ensure that child obesity is minimised. Should any school children look to visit the premises, then a separate healthier food menu will be available to include salads, vegetables and grilled foods.
"The proposed flexible change of use will aim to promote a localised need for a food business and ensure another vacant unit is occupied, which the current owner has been trying to lease out for a period of time and have not been successful in doing so.
"The business will only operate with their own delivery drivers."
Stoke-on-Trent City Council planning officers have yet to make a decision on the application.
