Dougie Mac is now accepting donations at its new huge superstore in Stoke-on-Trent, which is set to open soon.

The store, at the old Carpetright unit on Etruria Road, is set to open in mid-September and the old signage was taken down earlier this week in preparation for the opening.

The Hanley superstore is now open for donations Monday-Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

Donations of clothes, accessories, furniture, homeware and toys have been requested by the charity.

Dougie Mac supports around 3,000 people each year. (DMH)

On social media, the charity shop said: "Our new Hanley Superstore is opening soon, and we're now accepting donations.

"The doors of our new Hanley store are now open for donation drop-offs! Help us open in style by donating your quality pre-loved items."

Carpetright closed its store in Hanley, last year after the company went into administration and Dougie Mac first revealed plans for the store in February this year.
