Staffordshire Police is appealing for information after a motorcyclist died following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers went to Moorland Road, Burslem, on Wednesday (23 September), after reports of a collision involving a white Jeep and a black Yamaha motorcycle just before 4.20pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital, where he sadly died.

"His family are being supported by specially trained officers."

The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene to help officers with their enquiries.

Staffordshire Police is urging witnesses who may have seen the motorcycle before the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to email officers direct at [email protected] quoting incident number 572 of 23 of September.
