Motorcyclist dies after crash with a car in Stoke-on-Trent

Police are appealing for information after a man died following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent.

Staffordshire Police officers were called to Belgrave Road, Dresden, shortly before 12.30pm today (Monday 29 December) following reports of a collision involving a grey SYM Jet motorbike and a silver Ford Ecosport.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "The rider of the motorbike, a man, suffered serious injuries at the scene.

"Crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene, but sadly the man was pronounced dead a short time later."

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the car, a man, is assisting officers with their enquiries and a cordon remains in place on the road while officers continue with the investigation.
