Model railway exhibition to take place in Stoke-on-Trent this month

A model railway exhibition will take place in Stoke-on-Trent this month in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Organised by John Cox, the exhibition will take place at St John's Primary School, in Trent Vale, on 26 and 27 July.
There will be seven trade stands, approximately 23 railway layouts covering all gauges, nine model railway trade stands and light refreshments.
John told Nub News: "In July 2010, when I worked at the school as a janitor and caretaker, I organised a Model Rail Exhibition in memory of my late cousin Fred Johnson, who was like myself an avid member of the Model Railway circuit.
"There is a group of around six of us who have different layouts and we travel around the county with them and where we pick the different layouts up from.
"We see what they do and if we like them we invite them to come to our show.

John, who has been the exhibition manager for the Alsager Railway Association for over 15 years, says there will also be local railway club stands for model railway enthusiasts old and new.
John added: "We have seen a resurgence in people being interested in model railway since the pandemic and what Pete Waterman is doing is getting a lot of new people involved.
"So there is plenty for everyone to enjoy and it is a good day out for people."
