Yellow warnings for wind and rain have been issued for Stoke by the Met Office from tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across Stoke-on-Trent from Friday (14 November) to Saturday (15 November) ahead of Storm Claudia.
A yellow wind warning has been issued for Stoke-on-Trent between 12:00pm and 11:59pm on Friday.
A yellow rain warning has also been issued for parts of Stoke-on-Trent between 6:00am on Friday to 6:00am on Saturday.
The Met Office has explained that 'strong' and 'gusty' winds could cause some disruption on Friday.
There is a slight chance of power cuts and some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
There is also a 'small' chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris
The Met Office has said that longer journey times or cancellations are possible as road and rail services may be affected and there is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close.
The expected rain may also lead to flooding and disruption.
There could be difficult driving conditions, some road closures, and some bus and train services delayed or cancelled.
Advice from the Met Office on how to stay safe in high winds and heavy rain can be found on their website.
