A yellow weather warning has been issued for Stoke-on-Trent as thunderstorms are set to hit the city tomorrow (Nub News).
A yellow weather warning has been issued for Stoke-on-Trent as thunderstorms are set to hit the city tomorrow (Nub News).

The Met Office has issued a ten-hour weather warning for Stoke-on-Trent as thunderstorms are set to hit the city. 

The warning is in place from 9am until 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday 2 August).

The Met Office says: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop on Wednesday and may cause some flooding and travel disruption".

The warning is in place from 9am until 7pm (Met Office).

Residents are being advised to expect some damage to buildings from lightning strikes, delays to train services, a short term loss of power and potentially dangerous driving conditions.
