Man from Stoke-on-Trent among two jailed after knifepoint robbery
A man from Stoke-on-Trent and another from South Staffordshire have been jailed for a collective of 10 years after a car was taken at knifepoint in September.
Dylan Maskery Hurd, 19, from Abbey Hulton and Callum Talbot, 23, from Featherstone saw a man getting out of a Volkswagen Golf R on Brooke Road in Wombourne, Staffordshire, while they were passing the address on a moped on 11 September last year.
The two men, one armed with a knife, launched an attack on the driver and demanded to be given the car keys before taking them from his pocket. The driver was not seriously injured.
The CCTV images of the incident show three people on a single moped stopping outside the address with two of them running towards the driver of the Volkswagen and getting inside the car while the third moped rider waited on the road.
Maskery Hurd and Talbot were seen on CCTV after the car had been abandoned on a car park near Dudley where it was found by Staffordshire Police.
The two men were charged and eventually pleaded guilty to robbery.

Maskery Hurd received a four-year jail sentence and Talbot received a six-year jail sentence at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday (21 March).
Detective Sergeant Marc Proctor, from our City Proactive Team, said: "Two dangerous thieves have been taken off our streets after we launched an investigation into this robbery.
"Dedicated officers are working hard every day across Staffordshire to robustly target those blighting local communities and this is another example of that."
