Man dies following 'medical emergency' at Stoke-on-Trent theatre

A man has sadly died following a medical emergency at a theatre in Stoke-on-Trent last night.

Paramedics were called to Regent Theatre, Hanley, at around 7.30pm yesterday (17 January).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival we discovered one male patient who was in a critical condition.

"Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
