Biker in his 40s dies after Stoke-on-Trent crash

A biker in his 40s has died after a crash in Stoke-on-Trent involving a car and a motorbike.
Police shut Park Hall Road in Weston Coyney yesterday evening (25 Sept) while emergency services, including two Midlands Air Ambulances, responded to the crash involving a black Yamaha motorbike and red Volvo S80.
The alarm was first raised at 5:06pm and bystanders stepped in to try and help the man before paramedics arrived, who administered "advanced life support".
But despite the efforts of the emergency services a man in his 40s, the biker, died at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition who was receiving basic life support from a bystander.
"Crews immediately began administering advanced life support, however, sadly despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."
An ambulance, a paramedic officer and Midlands Air Ambulances from Cosford and Tatenhill were all sent to the road alongside Staffordshire Police.
The man's family are being supported by specialist officers from Staffordshire Police.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called at 5.10pm yesterday evening (Thursday 25 September) to reports that a black Yamaha motorbike had collided with a car on Park Hall Road near to Park Hall Business village.
"Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers. The driver of the car, a red Volvo S80 was not injured.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or dashcam footage which could help our investigation.
