Man arrested following attempted car theft in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested following an attempted car theft from a dealership in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Dividy road, Bentilee, just after 11.15pm yesterday (26 March) after two men were seen getting into a number of cars at the garage.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A 27-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft. He remains in custody.

Police are looking for another man who was seen heading in the direction of Park Hall Road (Staffordshire Police).

"CCTV shows another man, wearing red jogging bottoms, heading in the direction of Park Hall Road following the incident. We are carrying out enquiries to try and find him.

"Anyone with any information or those with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time are urged to get in touch with us."
