Man arrested after car collides with four other vehicles in Tunstall

A man has been arrested after a car collided with four other vehicles in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday (13 February).

Just before 2pm, officers spotted a red Vauxhall Astra on Saraband Place and when police tried to stop the car on Piccadilly Street, it collided with two police cars.

Two other vehicles were also struck by the Astra as it drove off towards Tower Square.

The car collided with two police vehicles when officers tried to stop it (Staffordshire Police).

No police officers or members of the public were injured.

Officers located the empty Astra on Summerbank Road as arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving and criminal damage.

He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
