Man admits sexual assault and strangulation following attack on woman in Stoke-on-Trent

A man who strangled and sexually assaulted a woman in Stoke-on-Trent has pleaded guilty in court.

Dane Parker, 35, of no fixed address, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday 29 October and admitted sexual assault on a female, exposure and intentional strangulation. 

He was arrested he went inside a house in Stoke-on-Trent on 26 June this year and attacked a woman inside. 

Officers worked hard to support the survivor as much as possible and to secure the evidence needed to charge Parker with the offences, despite him offering no comment on interview. 

After admitting the offences in court last week, Parker has now been remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 13 December.
