A local education centre has teamed up with a local butchers to deliver Christmas hampers to families in need of support.

Griffins of Stone Family Butchers has partnered with Diamond Families CIC to provide Christmas hampers to families accessing the service with their special needs children.

Diamond Families is a therapeutic and education centre based in Saverley Green which provides therapies including animal assisted and sensory therapy and carries out outreach work with schools and the community.

Staff from both organisations have spent weeks preparing a range of festive hampers filled with fresh produce, meats, pantry staples, and seasonal treats.

They hope to ensure that struggling households can enjoy a warm, nourishing Christmas meal without added financial worry.

Nick Griffin, from Griffins of Stone, said: "We've always believed in giving back, especially at this time of year.

"Working with Diamond families has allowed us to expand our reach and help even more families than ever before."

Diamond families highlighted the importance of community solidarity at this time of year.

A spokesperson from the organisation said: "Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time for those already under pressure.

"By teaming up with Griffins of Stone, we're able to bring some comfort, dignity, and sparkle to families who feel added pressure all year.

"We are extremely grateful that Nicks team and customers are so generous and thoughtful of the vulnerable families that we work with."

Local charities and community organisations are helping distribute the hampers discreetly to ensure families receive them in time for the holidays.

Both businesses say they hope the initiative will inspire more local partnerships and acts of kindness throughout the region to look out for vulnerable people and their families.

The organisers hope to make the delivery of Christmas hampers an annual project.

Diamond families added: "This gesture serves as a reminder of the power of community —and the difference that local businesses can make when they come together with compassion and purpose."
