A local knife-crime charity has brought a 'Terror Tent' experience to Hanley this weekend to celebrate Halloween and raise money.

Chit Chat 4 U All, which works to help people affected by knife-crime and gang violence across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe, has built and decorated a Halloween themed tent located in the Potteries Centre.

The 'Terror Tent' is open 10am to 5pm today (Friday 31 October) and tomorrow (Saturday 1 November), where brave visitors can expect a guided tour through multiple rooms containing costumed volunteers.

There are also several stalls to visit alongside the tent.

The funds raised from the 'Terror Tent' will be used to support the charity's youth work and will contribute to the cost of life-saving equipment such as bleed kits.

Larissa Cooke, director of Chit Chat 4 U All, said: "It's about giving these young people experiences that they wouldn't get elsewhere, putting them on the straight and narrow and making positive members of the community.

"We teach them the skills they need to make legitimate businesses, and we see them thrive.

"A lot of our young people are now in full-time jobs and have their own houses, it has been absolutely incredible."

Nathan James, a sweet stallholder and volunteer at Chit Chat 4 U All, said: "I have done youth work before and have always loved helping people in the community.

"Honestly, the work that this charity does is absolutely amazing."

The charity regularly hosts events in the community and will be running a Christmas Artisan Market at Northwood Stadium on Saturday 29 November.

Chit Chat 4 U All also runs the Artisan World store in the lower mall of the Potteries Centre which contains a variety of items sold by local traders as well as the Chit Chat 4 U All Diner also in the Potteries Centre.

Entrance to the Terror Tent costs £2 and will be open from 10am to 5pm Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November.
