A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.
Charles Lewis, 47, of Liverpool, who is British, appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre via videolink yesterday (Wednesday 10 June).
It comes after he was charged with the murder of Ivan Takev in Trent Vale last year.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We were called at 4.05pm on 10 March 2025 to reports of a disturbance at a house on Lymebrook Place.
"Sadly, Ivan Takev, 38, was pronounced dead a short time later.
"Specialist officers are continuing to support Ivan's family."
Mr Lewis has been remanded and is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 24 August.
