LIVE: Two lanes of M6 closed near Stoke-on-Trent due to sheep near carriageway

Two lanes of the M6 are closed between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent (National Highways).
Two lanes of the M6 are closed between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent (National Highways).

Two lanes of the M6 are closed between J14 (Stafford) and J15 (Stoke-on-Trent) due to a herd of sheep which are wandering close to the carriageway.

National Highways says traffic officers are working to get them to safety.

All lanes are open southbound but there is a 45 minute delay in both directions.

UPDATE: ALL LANES HAVE NOW OPENED ALTHOUGH TRAFFIC REMAINS HEAVY
