The family of a woman who died in a collision in Newcastle-under-Lyme last month have paid tribute to her.

Shejuti Pasha, aged 32, was travelling as a passenger in a silver Toyota Icon when the car collided with railings on High Street, Knutton, just after 10.30pm on Wednesday 25 September.

Shejuti was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of her injuries.

In a moving tribute to her, Shejuti's family said: "Shejuti was pursuing her dream of becoming a famous writer before she passed away.

"She was an inspiring writer who had so much to give in this world.

Shejuti was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of her injuries (West Midlands Ambulance Service).

"She was one of the most determined people there ever was. Her smile can brighten up a whole room and her intelligence was a sight to behold.

"We will all miss her dearly."

The driver and a second passenger from the car were not injured.

A 22-year-old man, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving. He has been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
