LIVE: Fire crews tackle blaze at waste site in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently dealing with an ongoing fire at a waste site in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.

A number of fire crews were called to an industrial site on Sneyd Hill at around 11.50am this morning.

A spokesperson said: " We are advising nearby residents and businesses to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.

"A hydraulic machine was found well alight, along with a number of rubber tyres and one scrap motor vehicle. 

"Crews are using main jets and hose reel jets to tackle the fire and are advising those nearby to keep their windows and doors closed while we continue to deal with the incident."
