Staffordshire Police has confirmed the A50 in Stoke-on-Trent remains blocked following a collision and is encouraging motorists to look for alternative routes.

Emergency services were called to the A50 in Longton this morning following a collision between two cars and a lorry.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A woman suffered shoulder injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. 

"The lorry driver stayed at the scene to help us with enquiries."

Police say the road remains blocked (Nub News).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The woman received self care advice before being discharged at the scene and no further patients required assistance from ambulance staff."
