A large part of Stoke town centre has been taped off by Staffordshire Police this morning (8 May).

Parts of Campbell Place and Church Street in Stoke town centre are closed and there is a large police cordon in place.

The road is closed from the turning for Hide Street up to where Church Street meets Liverpool Road.

Traffic is currently slow-moving and police are diverting drivers around the cordon.

Stoke Nub News has approached Staffordshire Police for comment.
