Huge blaze at Stoke-on-Trent restaurant deemed accidental

The blaze at a restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday (20 February), has been deemed accidental by fire investigators.

Fire crews were called to Scotia Road, Burslem, just before 3.10pm yesterday afternoon and by 5.45pm the fire had been extinguished.

Nobody was injured in the blaze and a scene was set up whilst crews worked to investigate how the fire started.

Fire investigators confirmed the fire was started accidentally (Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service).

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed today (21 February) that the fire was started accidentally after it spread from an extension building.
