Greggs opened its first Stoke-on-Trent drive-thru restaurant and takeaway on a busy retail park last week. 

The popular bakery chain opened its latest store on Springfield Retail Park, Newcastle Road, on Monday 27 November. 

The store has created 24 new jobs and is open 6am-8pm Monday to Saturday and 8am-7pm on Sundays. 

The shop will stock Greggs favourites, including the new Christmas menu offerings: the Festive Bake, Vegan Turkey-Free & Stuffing Baguette and vegan-friendly Spicy Vegetable Curry Bake and Christmas Lunch Baguette.

The new store, which is open seven days a week, has created 24 new jobs (Nub News).

Work has been ongoing on the unit for many months and signage was only approved for the store in October. 

Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, said: "Our new drive-thru shop in Stoke on Trent has brought 24 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food."
