A Stoke-on-Trent museum is set to host a special exhibition showcasing pieces from Channel 4's The Great Pottery Throw Down, crafted to celebrate the city's Centenary.

The Gladstone Pottery Museum will host the six ceramic bird baths honouring the towns of Stoke-on-Trent, which potters were challenged to design and create in episode seven of this year's series.

The bird baths are due to go on display from Wednesday 5 March and will be part of the museum's standard entry offer.

Cllr Jane Ashworth, leader of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: "Gladstone Pottery Museum is a real gem in our city's cultural heritage.

"It's fantastic that, alongside our extended opening, we've been able to secure this special display from The Great Pottery Throw Down.

"The show is a wonderful celebration of Stoke-on-Trent's proud ceramics history - the craft and industry that made us famous worldwide and earned us city status in 1925.

"If you've never visited before, 2025 is the perfect time to support our local attractions and discover the incredible heritage we have on our doorstep."

The bird baths each reflect the city's rich industrial heritage, vibrant green spaces and historic waterways.

Past contestants from The Great Pottery Throw Down will also visit the museum on 22 March alongside over 50 ceramic makers at the ceramic makers' market.

The Gladstone Pottery Museum opened its doors early this year on 2 January as part of Stoke-on-Trent's Centenary celebrations and is open Wednesday-Saturday 10am until 4pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
