A former radio studio in Stoke-on-Trent could be converted into five residential units, if plans are approved by the city council.

Mr Naseem Khan has submitted a planning application for the "change of use of the first floor to five residential units" at 67-73 Stoke Road, Shelton.

The building was formerly home to Signal Radio, but the studio was moved to Birmingham earlier this year and the building was put up for sale.

The application form states: "Existing access to the highway will be retained.

"There is an array of transport links near the site including bus, cycle and train, argued residential use with mitigate highways impact as opposed to former commercial use due to less footfall".

A decision is expected regarding these plans in the coming months; view the full planning application here.
