Furlong Road, in Tunstall, was closed for much of yesterday evening from around 6pm while fire crews worked to make the area safe after the roof of a terraced house collapsed.
Staffordshire Police said nobody has been reported injured. The road has since reopened and temporary fencing is now surrounding the front of the property.
The emergency services have handed the incident over to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
