Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is working to extinguish a wildfire at a Stoke-on-Trent country park.

Five appliances have been sent to the scene at Park Hall Country Park on Hulme Road after the fire was reported at 12.15pm today (Tuesday 21 July).

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We are urging people to avoid the area where possible and nearby residents should keep their windows and doors closed."

The fire service was also called to tackle multiple fires at Park Hall Country Park on Sunday (19 July).

Staffordshire Police launched an appeal for information after the force was called at 1.20pm to the park following reports of multiple fires at the location.
