Classic car event in Newcastle-under-Lyme postponed due to weather

A classic car event in Newcastle-under-Lyme has been postponed and rescheduled due to the forecasted weather.
Castle Classics was scheduled for Saturday (24 October) in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre, but the organisers have decided to postpone the event.
Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and event partners The Red Haired Stokie and 6 Towns Radio said that they made the "difficult decision" in the interests of exhibitor and visitor safety, and with the weather expected to significantly affect attendance.
The event will now take place on Sunday 15 November, alongside Castle Artisan Market, bringing classic and retro vehicles together with independent makers, artisan stalls and food.
With 115 vehicles registered for the original date, organisers hope as many exhibitors as possible will be able to join the rearranged event.
Charl Pearce, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Manager, said: "We're really disappointed to postpone Castle Classics, especially with 115 vehicles booked to join us. However, with the forecast weather and yellow warning, we felt this was the right decision for our exhibitors, visitors and event team.
"Joining Castle Artisan Market on 15 November gives us a fantastic opportunity to bring the two events together, with even more for visitors to enjoy while exploring and supporting our town centre businesses.
"We'd love to welcome back as many of our registered exhibitors as possible and we're grateful to everyone for their understanding and support."
The organisers confirmed that all existing exhibitor tickets will automatically transfer to the new date.
Anyone unable to attend can request a refund through Eventbrite.
