A man has been jailed after Staffordshire Police found text messages advertising the sale of class A drugs across Stoke-on-Trent.
Zeeshan Hussain, 24, of Longton, was sentenced to four-years-and-one-month in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 22 October).
He previously admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
It comes after Staffordshire Police officers stopped a black Hyundai on Chaplin Road in Longton, on 6 March this year.
Hussain was a passenger in the car.
He was searched and officers seized two mobile phones. Officers then searched the car and two more mobile phones were found.
PC Rehanne Mellor, of the City Proactive Team - who led the investigation - said: "When the mobile phones were searched, we found text messages advertising the sale of class A drugs across Stoke-on-Trent.
"We worked tirelessly to gather evidence against Hussain which led to him admitting the offences in court.
"We will continue to target drug supply and take robust action against those responsible."
