A busy McDonalds branch in Stoke-on-Trent has been granted permission to extend its opening hours to 24 hours a day.

McDonalds applied for permission last month to install a brand-new 'Open 24 hours' sign outside their branch on Springfields Retail Park in Trent Vale.

At current, the branch closes at midnight and reopens at 5am, but this week the council gave the new opening hours the green light.

The Trent Vale branch will be the third in Stoke to be open 24 hours (Nub News).

The existing 'Golden Arch' sign head will also be relocated the corner of Leaside Road, to avoid confusion with the new drive-thru restaurant currently being built on the retail park.

The Trent Vale branch will be McDonalds' third store which is open 24 hours, as the Meir Park and Longton branches already operate under these opening hours.

Stoke Nub News has approached McDonalds for comment.
