Bus stop improvements have begun on a busy road in Fenton and the temporary traffic lights are causing heavy traffic.

Two-way signals have been placed on Victoria Road, near the turning for Adrian Street.

The works started this morning (30 May) and are expected to be completed by 5pm tomorrow (31 May).

The bus stop has been suspended whilst the works take place (Nub News).

A spokesperson for Stoke-on-Trent City Council said: "The planned works are part of our ongoing Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) project which is being funded by £31.6 million from the Department for Transport (DfT).

Through the BSIP project, we ultimately want to improve our local transport network for everyone and make it easier for residents to get around the city for work, college and leisure."
