The southbound lane on the A34 Stone Road, Tittensor, Stoke-on-Trent has been closed as repairs are carried out on a burst pipe.

Severn Trent crews have been working overnight on the repairs which has required a closure of the southbound lane, in order to keep workers and the public safe.

The lane closure, near to Trentham Gardens, will remain in place as the works continue, including tankering in the area.

Severn Trent said: "We know how disruptive these kind of repairs can be, but we need the lane closure to keep our crews and members of the public safe.

"Our teams will be working hard to complete these repairs and get things back to normal as soon as possible.

"We'd like to apologise and thank everyone for their patience and understanding."
