Beloved floating narrowboat pub in Stoke-on-Trent up for sale

A floating pub popular with football fans and walkers in Stoke-on-Trent is up for sale with hopes that the barge will be sold to a buyer in the city.
Wayne Sadler opened Barge-Inn Booze seven years ago and the pub has since become popular with Stoke City supporters and walkers at canal-side beauty spots.
The 58ft Tim Tyler hull narrowboat is the only fully-licensed floating pub in the country which can travel anywhere on the UK canal system, but now Wayne wants to sell up and move on to a new venture in Wales.
Wayne told Stoke Nub News: "We hope the boat stays around Stoke-on-Trent because it's part of the city.
"We'd love it to go to a Stoke City supporter maybe or one of our customers who comes to visit us at Westport Lake.
"We were sat with the original owners of the oatcake boat, B'oatcake, and we were thinking about what we could do to make some money while we were on our boat, and then we thought we'd do a beer boat.
"We've got some beers in the fridge, so we'll just sell them we thought.
"And then we looked into all the ins and outs of doing it all, managed to get through all the loopholes and now we work alongside the council, the police and the Canal and River Trust.

"We do all of Stoke City's home games and we go to local beauty spots such as Westport Lake."
Wayne is asking for offers around £83,000 for the narrowboat, built in 2020, which he currently shares with his partner.
The barge sells Staffordshire ales from Titianic Brewery and Moorland Pottery's Oatcake Gin among others.
Wayne added: "We are not looking for a massive amount of money and people say that we're charging too little for it, and we might be, but we want to make sure it stays here in the city.
"We have been working alongside the new owners of the Westport Lake Cafe and everything is coming up good for whoever takes over, because the boat has a lot of events booked too for this year.
"After this I'm hoping to buy a couple of caravans in Wales and rent them out, one specifically for people with mental health issues because we want to make sure people are alright and enjoying their holiday."
