Another bank is set to close in Stoke-on-Trent later this year as TSB will be shutting its doors in Longton.

TSB, based at 41 Market Street, is just one of 36 branches closing across the country, with the Longton bank closing on 11 September.

TSB analysed statistics from the Longton branch and found that only 5 per cent of personal customers and 6 per cent of business customers use the bank regularly.

They also found that 80 per cent of personal customers and 83 per cent of business customers also use another TSB branch in the city.

The Longton bank is one of 36 branches closing across the country (Nub News).

A Branch Review published by TSB states: "The way customers bank with us is changing. Over 95% of transactions are now being made using mobile, online and other ways to bank, instead of in our branches. And more customers than ever are using our Video and Telephone Banking service.

"We remain committed to face-to-face services across the country, and over 90% of our customers are within a 20 minute drive to a branch."

TSB has another branch in Hanley, but the opening hours are also changing at this branch. The bank, on Crown Bank, will now close at 4pm Monday-Friday instead of 5pm.
