Arrest made after police 'rammed' on M6 near Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested after police cars were 'rammed' during a pursuit on the M6 near Stoke-on-Trent.
Staffordshire Police led a short pursuit before stopping the driver between junctions 10A and 11 yesterday (Sunday 28 September).
During the chase, three police cars were rammed, causing minor injuries to four officers, the force said.
Police first spotted the vehicle between junctions 15 and 16 and believe the car had been stolen from an address in Birmingham earlier in the week.
A 28-year-old man from Birmingham is now being questioned by officers on suspicion of multiple offences.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A 28-year-old man from Birmingham, was arrested on suspicion of: Three counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5000. One count of driving a motor vehicle dangerously
"One count of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs. One count of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
"One count of driving whilst disqualified. One count of failure to remain for initial assessment following test for presence of Class A drug. One count of failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by constable.
"One count of theft of a motor vehicle. One count of using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance."
