An author and former Oxford University Professor will finally get to see his own books on display at his local library in North Staffordshire from this week.

Professor Geoffrey Warner was a Supernumerary Fellow in Modern History at Brasenose College Oxford and is now residing at Borough Care's Hen Cloud House in Leek.

As part of Borough Care's person-centred approach to care, the home has arranged for Geoffrey, along with his family, to visit Leek Library, Stockwell Street, on Tuesday 24 June, where he will present his books to the library allowing his work to be enjoyed by the local community.

Geoffrey has published a number of modern history books throughout his career and has written widely about Northern Ireland's history.

His books also cover British history in the 20th century and history throughout the Second World War.

Sharon Parkes, Customer Relations Manager, would like to extend her thanks to Fiona and the team at Leek Library for their support in organising this special morning for Geoffrey.

Hen Cloud House in Leek is made up of small households, each with communal areas, sitting and dining rooms. The familiarity of these households supports those living with dementia, whilst enabling them to enjoy the facilities in the home.

There are lots of things to keep residents active and entertained around Hen Cloud House such as a hairdresser, beauty salon and cinema as well as live entertainment, games and activities.
