Betty celebrates 100th birthday with visit from Newcastle-under-Lyme MP

A resident at Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme had a special visit from a North Staffordshire MP as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Betty turned 100 years old last week and was joined by Newcastle-under-Lyme MP, Adam Jogee, to celebrate her special day.
Adam was taken on a guided tour of the Belong Heritage Gallery led by heritage & experience coordinator, Emma Palin, browsing artefacts on loan from the Brampton Museum and Apedale Heritage Centre.
And Betty was even gifted a box of House of Commons fudge from Adam to mark the special day.

Josephine Mollison, general manager at Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme, commented: "We were very pleased to welcome Adam Jogee MP to meet with our birthday girl, Betty, the town's newest centenarian.
"He even gifted her some House of Commons fudge and card to mark the occasion.
"Following a guided tour of our village and the Belong Heritage Gallery, Adam took the time to meet with our team and discuss the ways in which we offer support to the community. A big thank you for popping in."
