A North Staffordshire hearing centre has recently celebrated five years of "local service with a big company ethos".

Leek Hearing Centre, part of the Hearing Centres Group, marked its fifth birthday on 6 September after half a decade of serving the local community.

The Leek centre is one of seven hearing clinics operated by the family-run business across Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire.

Bradley Snelling, Director and Co-Owner of The Hearing Centres said: "It has been a very, very busy centre from the day we opened.

"What we have is local service but with a big company ethos offering a service like we are friends and family."

Rory Kewney, audiologist and co-owner added: "We have standard procedures, practices, documentation and a service level which is enshrined within all of the staff.

"It doesn't matter who a patient sees, they get the same kind of standard of care.

"You don't get that continuity in a small business, and you don't get our personalisation in a really large company."

Leek Hearing Centre provides a range of services including hearing tests, tinnitus management, ear wax removal, advice on hearing aids and assistive listening devices.

Their high-quality treatments and commitment to local and friendly service, has cemented the Leek clinic within the community and generated a large number of "loyal" patients.

Clare Snelling, another audiologist and co-owner, said: "We are quite embedded in the community in Leek.

"We work very well with the local GP practices and pharmacies.

She added: "We do our best to provide our patients with a really good service, and they are incredibly loyal.

"Patients are always saying that they sent their friend or family member to us.

"We are always really grateful and thankful for that, but it's born out of the service that we deliver."

The success of the Leek Hearing Centre, as well as the nearby Cheadle centre, was also recently recognised with an award from SME News.

The Hearing Centres Group were named 'Staffordshire Audiologists of the Year' for the third time in a row.

The family's initial plans for the building, however, looked very different.

Brad Snelling, said: "Clare and I went there to open a bar, not a hearing centre.

"But when we walked in, we just thought this would make a really good hearing centre and that's how we ended up opening Leek."
