Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) will soon be opening their doors for the first open events of 2026.

The open events will give prospective students and their families an insight to studying at NSCG, as well as an opportunity to explore the campuses and chat to staff about their study options.

NSCG's Deputy Principal: Provision for Young People, Shelley Brown, will also present welcome talks, with visitors also able to hear from the student support team and current students to find out what life is really like at NSCG.

The first open events will be help on the following days:

  • Newcastle College: Saturday 24th January 2026, 10am – 12noon
  • Stafford College: Saturday 7th February, 10am – 12noon
  • Leek College: Thursday 12th February, 5:30pm – 8pm

Across NSCG's three campuses, learners can access a wide range of post-16 qualifications.

A Levels, Higher Education and part-time adult learning are delivered at NSCG's Newcastle and Stafford campuses, with T Levels, vocational courses and apprenticeships available across the wider College group.

Craig Hodgson, Principal and Chief Executive at NSCG, said: "We're excited to be welcoming visitors back to NSCG for the new year.

"As an Ofsted Outstanding college, we're incredibly proud of our reputation for delivering high-quality education and training, and our upcoming open events offer future students the chance to experience this first-hand."

The College has also announced that each Saturday morning open event will include a dedicated 30-minute SEN time slot at the start of the event. From 9:30am, visitors with special educational needs or neurodivergent learners will be able to attend in a quieter, calmer environment.

Additional open events will be held throughout the year:
