QHSE Manager Stoke-on-Trent Monday to Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm From 45,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and qualified QHSE Manager to lead on all aspects of quality, health, safety, and environmental management within our manufacturing operations. This is an opportunity to work for a well-established business and play a key role in maintaining high standards across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accreditations such as ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001, while identifying additional certifications to enhance business standards
  • Carry out quality reviews and audits on production to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Audit operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Investigate quality nonconformities and implement preventative actions
  • Lead process improvement activities and initiatives
  • Promote ongoing compliance with QHSE legislation and regulations
  • Create, review, and maintain risk assessments (e.g. Fire, DSEAR, COSHH, Manual Handling) and ensure staff adherence
  • Investigate and log all accidents and near misses, reporting where necessary under RIDDOR
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and QHSE teams to drive best practice

Key Requirements:

  • NEBOSH qualification
  • At least 7 years' experience in quality and health & safety management in construction or manufacturing
  • Strong auditing experience with ISO and other accreditations
  • Proven ability to promote a positive health and safety culture
  • Track record in embedding right-first-time processes

CK Group are recruiting for a Team leader to join a hazardous waste management company based at their site near Stoke on Trent. This is a 3 rotating sift pattern of 5am-2pm/1pm-10pm/9.30pm-5.30am Team leader role:Lead an RSD team of 2-3 persons whilst undertaking an active role in the unloading of parallelised incoming waste prior to acceptance inspection by the Chemist. Once inspected, this waste will require segregation and storage in appropriate storage bays. Following this, processing may be required as directed. Working nights plus 25% shift allowance. Main Duties:• To lead a team of typically 2-3 persons.• To ensure the team is working towards and achieving relevant KPIs.• Safely operate a counterbalance FLT • Weighing of incoming loads on the site weighbridge prior to unloading the vehicle.• Assisting chemists in checking the load as required (eg removing clips/lids, re-stacking pallets etc)• Ensure maximum storage capacity in storage bays is achieved Your background• Experience of working in the Hazardous Waste Sector • FLT counterbalance license• Must demonstrate willingness to work in outdoor conditions in a hazardous chemical environment undertaking a manual/hands on approach• Must be able to understand spoken English in order to understand verbal safety instructions Apply:It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
