The Opportunity

This post represents an exciting academic opportunity to work at Keele University. The School of Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacy one of three Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that combine aspects of active living, rehabilitation, and sport and sciences.

With excellent facilities and a team of lecturers, practitioners and researchers, the School aims to produce graduates who can address contemporary health challenges and contribute to the advancement of sport and exercise sciences.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic lecturer who has teaching and supervision experience in sport and exercise biomechanics. The successful applicant will contribute to our BSc Sport and Exercise Science and BSc Rehabilitation and Exercise Science programmes and help build the curricula in line with the University's strategic plan.

The successful candidate will have relevant expertise in biomechanics and strength and conditioning subject knowledge, with a strong understanding of their application in sport and exercise science. Candidates should ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. S/FHEA) and a relevant professional practice qualification (e.g. CASES Accreditation).

You will hold a PhD/Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Science and have teaching experience in modules related to Biomechanics. Experience of module design, module leadership and research interests that align with the research areas within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences' Active Living and Sport Cluster at Keele University would be a distinct advantage.
