The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and outward-looking individual to join our supportive and growing team within the School of Computer Science and Mathematics as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Transnational Education (TNE) Lead.

The School delivers high-quality teaching and research across computer science, data science, mathematics, and aligned specialist areas, with a growing portfolio of international collaborative activity.

This role offers a distinctive opportunity to combine academic delivery with strategic international engagement. The successful candidate will act as the School's lead for Transnational Education, serving as the key academic link between the School and our international partner institutions.

You will support the development, management, and enhancement of collaborative overseas provision, helping to ensure academic quality, consistency of student experience, and strong institutional relationships across different cultural and educational contexts.

The post will involve regular liaison with international partners and is likely to include overseas travel in support of partnership development, academic oversight, staff collaboration, and student engagement. We are therefore seeking an individual with a genuine interest in global higher education, intercultural communication, and the opportunities presented by international academic collaboration.

Experience of working with international students, international partners, multilingual environments, or across different educational cultures would be highly advantageous.

Alongside the TNE leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of engaging, research-informed teaching across our Computer Science programmes. This will include module delivery, assessment design, curriculum development, and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. You will also contribute to the School's wider academic community through scholarship, professional practice, and collaborative activity.

You will have strong subject knowledge in Computer Science, experience of teaching or supporting learning in higher education, and the organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills needed to build productive relationships across institutional and cultural boundaries.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is academically grounded, internationally minded, and excited by the prospect of shaping and strengthening the School's global partnerships.
