The Opportunity

This post represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated early career academic to join a team of staff in the History programme, within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Keele University.

You will work with colleagues across the School and contribute expertise in Early Modern British History.

The successful candidate will deliver excellent teaching and student experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Early Modern British History, and will have the capability and willingness to contribute to the wider School in cognate areas.

They will have relevant experience of module delivery, understanding of effective student assessment, and an understanding of principles of module design. They will bring evidenced experience of contribution to research in Early Modern History, including outputs and external grant applications/capture commensurate with career stage, and will be eager to work towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

The ability to teach and/or lead modules including Power, Belief and Identity: The Medieval and Early Modern Worlds, 500-1789; Reformation and Revolution: Creating Britain and America; and The English Civil War, c.1640-46 may be an advantage.
