The Honey Box Hive team proudly presents Honey Comb, a new local music event aimed specifically at what you the musicians have asked for; a night just for you guys, to meet and chat, exchange stories and experiences and discuss potential collaborations.

In this series of events, hosted at Artisan Tap in Hartshill, and this month's host Fran Anderson will be in conversation with a local musician, having in depth conversations about their song writing processes, their experiences in the industry, both locally and nationally, whilst also performing an intimate show throughout.

On Tuesday 28th July we welcome Will Sherratt as our special guest artist:

Born to a white English father and Filipino mother, the performer who would develop an international reputation as under the stage persona "Mr Will" first picked up a guitar at the age of eight, already understanding that there was a world of music beyond MTV and Radio 1.

By his early teens, while his peers followed modern rock trends, Mr Will's imagination was captivated by the challenges of classical guitar's 'timeless precision' and modern Jazz's 'random precision'.

Many have remarked on Mr Will's technique of using his thumb and all four fingers strum his guitars, yet Mr Will's commitment to innovation and experimentation goes much deeper than simply how he chooses to strike six or 12 strings.

Mr Will has travelled the world and performed at a variety of events and venues including WOMAD,Lattitude, DrumCamp UK, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Lancaster Jazz festival in addition to international performances including Senegal, Gambia, Philippines & headlining on the Bayimba Festival, Uganda.

Mr Will will be joined by Julia Mosley for the evening's performances, an independant artist in her own right, known for her ethereal, powerful voice and melodic, emotionally intense songs, Julia has grown a following from around the world in the Rock and Goth scene, through her recorded music and extensive performances.
