Middleport Movie Days

As part of our 10th Anniversary celebrations of Middleport Pottery opening as a heritage visitor attraction and creative hub. Choose to view either "The Card " at 10.30am & "A Potteries Girl's Romance" at 1.30pm or why not attend both!

The Card - In Edwardian Staffordshire, charming rogue Edward "Denry" Machin (Alec Guinness), the son of a washerwoman, believes he must give destiny a hand to rise in the world. One of the best-loved British screen comedies of the early 1950s - with many scenes filmed here in Middleport. We will be joined for the screening by our special guest: the very person who utters the first comments in the film - the infant Denry Machin himself - Paul Hopkins.

A Potteries Girl Romance – A black & white silent movie filmed in Burslem.
