Gold Diggers of 1933 is in an American pre-Code musical; the gold diggers in question being four aspiring actresses whose show is rescued by a wealthy composer who insists on remaining anonymous.

Ruby Keeler, Joan Blondell, Aline MacMahon and Ginger Rogers find themselves scantily clad and singing We're In The Money, in big production numbers staged and choreographed by Busby Berkeley, including Pettin' in the Park and The Shadow Waltz.

The Gold Diggers of 1933 screening continues the Film Theatre's Cinema Ceramica nostalgic programming strand. Presenting classic films from 16mm prints to celebrating film on quite small film.
