Woman threatened at knifepoint at salon in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was threatened at knifepoint inside a Stoke-on-Trent salon.

The attempted robbery happened between 5pm and 5.15pm on Saturday (13 January) inside a salon on Trentham Road, Longton.

The victim, a woman, was threatened with a knife. No one was injured and nothing was stolen.

Police would like to speak to this man in connection with the incident (Staffordshire Police).

The suspect is described as a man, with a Stoke accent, in his late 40s to early 50s. He was of a large build and was wearing grey Adidas jogging bottoms, black Nike trainers, a black cardigan, a black hat and a tartan designed face mask.

Following the incident, the suspect was seen on Longton Road before heading in the direction of Queens Park on foot. Police searched the area for him but did not find anyone matching the description.
