Tales in the Park

Stoke Reads is hosting a series of Tales in the Park events across Stoke-on-Trent (Stoke Reads).

Tales in the Park is a free event for families, taking place at Longton Park on Friday 4 August from 11am until 3pm.

These mini festivals are perfect for families with children aged 0 to 13.

Join Stoke Reads for:

  • Storytelling sessions 
  • Free books, kindly donated by HarperCollins
  • Face-painting and circus skills 
  • Pop up sports, crafts and more! 

Disco for Grown Ups

Disco for Grown Ups takes place at Kings Hall, Stoke, on Saturday 5 August (Disco for Grown Ups).

The legendary Discos for Grown ups pop up disco party is coming back to Kings Hall on Saturday 5th August. 

Dance all night with people your own age to all your favourite 70s disco, 80s pop and 90s dance anthems.

Doors open 7.15pm, dancing from 8.00pm to 11.30pm

1980s Festival

Charlie Bassett's in Dilhorne is hosting a day of live music on Saturday 5 August. 

Wristbands cost £10 and are available from the pub.

Camping is also available from £20 per tent.
