There's plenty to get up to in and around Stoke-on-Trent this weekend.

Foundry Festival | Hanley | Sat 2 to Sun 3 May

Foundry Festival is a free, two-day music festival celebrating Stoke-on-Trent artists.

The festival will feature a programme of live performances taking place on outdoor stages in Piccadilly and Tontine Square in Hanley on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May. 

Lee Barber, Festival Music Producer, added: "Foundry Festival is all about shining a spotlight on the incredible music talent we have right here on our doorstep."

Free wristbands, which are available on the Foundry Festival website, will also unlock 50 per cent off entry at selected city centre gigs across the weekend.

BAM Holiday Sunday | Brilliant Bamboo Parklet | Stoke | Sun 3 May

Stoke-on-Trent based community organisation, Brilliant Bamboo, will be hosting a 'BAM Holiday Sunday' event at their brownfield parklet on Boothen Road, Stoke on Sunday 3 May.

There will be Morris Dancing from Domesday Morris a Folk Dance Remixed Maypole and craft workshops.

Gemma Thomas, who founded Brilliant Bamboo in 2023, said: "As well as creating a mini park, it was always part of the plan to host events to bring people together."

She added: "We thought actually it might be a really nice moment around May Day and Staffordshire Day to do something which celebrates spring and creates a folk event for that site."

The event is free to attend and there is no need to book in advance.

Great British Food Festival | Trentham Gardens | Sat 2 May to Mon 4 May

The Great British Food Festival is heading to Trentham Gardens from Saturday 2 May to Monday 4 May.

Trentham Gardens said: "Set within the beautiful surroundings of Trentham Gardens, The Great British Food Festival brings together the very best of Great British produce, street food and artisan makers.

"Expect a great atmosphere with plenty to see, taste and enjoy throughout the day."

Tickets are available to purchase online and include gardens admission.

Jumble Trail | Blurton | Sun 3 May

The Blurton Jumble Trail will return on Sunday 3 May from 10am to 12.30pm.

The organsiers said: "On Sunday 3rd May download the map and list of addresses taking part, then go around all of their gardens and browse what is for sale.

"It's just like an American yard sale."
